Hey George,

I liked your blog. One minor correction - Kindle has 256 MB internal storage out of which about 60 MB is used to run the firmware; the remaining is available for storing books (quoted from - http://db.tidbits.com/article/9327).

Hey George... The Kindle has dropped to a mere $189.00 with a LOT more memory and better download speed... It's a much better reader then when you first wrote...

Rick,

I looked with envy when Jaimie bought a Kindle 2, leaving me alone with my Kindle 1. But, it still works perfectly.

I added an additional memory card and use my PC to transfer books to a "Books Read" when I finish reading one. That way, I can easily go back, reload and reread.

The Kindles, whichever version, are a boon to travelers.
